TEXT: [NIV] PSALM 102:13
"You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come."
Favor is one of the greatest gifts God can bestow upon His children. It is God's divine kindness expressed in ways that cannot be explained by human qualifications, personal effort, or natural connections. Favor causes doors to open where others see walls. It brings opportunities that hard work alone cannot produce. When God's favor speaks, protocols are suspended, impossibilities become possibilities, and ordinary people experience extraordinary breakthroughs. The psalmist declared with confidence that God would arise to show compassion because the appointed time for favor had come. This reveals an important truth: there is a divinely appointed season when God visits His people with unusual favor. Just as there are seasons in nature, there are also seasons in God's calendar. There is a time when heaven announces, "It is favor o'clock!"
When your appointed time arrives, delay gives way to speed, rejection turns into acceptance, shame is exchanged for honor, and long-standing prayers receive immediate answers. What people struggled for over many years may come to you effortlessly because the favor of God is resting upon your life. God's favor is not earned by human merit; it is received through a life of faith, obedience, humility, and fellowship with Him. Those who delight themselves in the Lord position themselves to experience His compassion and goodness. As you walk in righteousness and remain committed to His purpose, His favor becomes a shield surrounding your life.
If you have experienced setbacks, disappointments, unanswered prayers, or prolonged waiting, do not lose heart. The God who appoints seasons is able to change your story in a single moment. One encounter with His favor can accomplish what years of labor could not achieve. May this be your appointed season of favor. May every closed door open before you. May your name be remembered for good. May mercy speak where judgment was expected, and may God's favor distinguish you in your family, your career, your ministry, your business, and every area of your life. Indeed, it is your favor o'clock!
