THEME: THE GRACE OF GOD NEEDS A GOOD TREAT!
TEXT: [NLT] GALATIANS 2:21
"I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die."
Grace is one of the greatest gifts God has ever given to humanity. It is God's unmerited favor, His undeserved kindness, and His divine ability working in and through us. Through grace, we receive salvation, forgiveness, righteousness, strength, wisdom, and access to God's blessings. This is not because we earned them, but because Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price on the cross. In today's scripture, the Apostle Paul makes a profound declaration: "I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless." This statement challenges every believer to examine how they value the grace that has been freely given to them.
Many people enjoy the benefits of God's grace but fail to honor it. Some mistake grace for a license to continue living in sin, while others ignore the responsibility that comes with receiving such an extraordinary gift. Paul reminds us that if righteousness could be attained by human effort or by keeping the law, then Christ's sacrificial death would have been unnecessary. The cross proves that grace is priceless and should never be taken for granted. The grace of God deserves a good treatment. We honor grace when we live a life of gratitude, humility, obedience, and holiness. We appreciate grace when we depend on God rather than our own strength. We value grace when we serve God faithfully and allow His transforming power to shape our character daily.
God's grace is not merely designed to rescue us from sin; it is also given to empower us to overcome sin. Grace teaches us to deny ungodliness, strengthens us in times of weakness, equips us for every good work, and enables us to fulfill our divine purpose. Every achievement in the Kingdom is sustained by grace. As believers, we must never abuse God's grace through complacency, rebellion, or persistent disobedience. Instead, we should steward it carefully, recognizing that every opportunity, every breakthrough, every spiritual gift, and every open door is an expression of His grace. Today, choose to treat God's grace with honor. Let your lifestyle reflect your appreciation for the sacrifice of Christ. Let your words, actions, decisions, and devotion demonstrate that His grace has not been received in vain. When grace is valued, it produces spiritual maturity, fruitfulness, and lasting impact.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for the gift of Your amazing grace made available to me through Jesus Christ.
Father, Help me never to treat Your grace lightly or take it for granted.
