TEXT: [NKJV] JOHN 5:5-6
"Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"
Delay is the stretch of time between God's promise and its visible manifestation. It is the period in which expectation exists, yet fulfillment seems absent. Delay does not mean that God has forgotten His Word; rather, it is often a season in which faith, patience, and dependence on Him are tested. Every delay is connected to an expectation. If there is no expectation, there can be no delay. Therefore, whenever an expectation lingers beyond its appointed season, it is important to seek God's intervention rather than surrender to discouragement. While some delays may be natural, others are prolonged by spiritual opposition, unfavorable circumstances, or the absence of the right help.
The story of the man at the Pool of Bethesda illustrates this truth perfectly. For thirty-eight years, he remained in the same condition. His challenge was not merely his infirmity; it was also the absence of anyone to help him into the pool at the right moment. He had strength to hope but lacked the help required to move into his miracle. Humanly speaking, his situation appeared hopeless. However, everything changed the day Jesus arrived. Divine Help located him. Jesus was not delayed, distracted, or discouraged by the length of the man's suffering. One encounter with the Helper of destiny accomplished what thirty-eight years of waiting could not achieve. The force of delay that had held him captive was instantly broken. This reveals an important kingdom principle: when God decides to terminate a delay, He sends help.
Divine help can accomplish in a single day what human effort has failed to achieve over many years. It can open doors that have remained shut, accelerate long-awaited answers, connect you with the right people, and position you for your appointed season. Perhaps you have been waiting for a job, marriage, healing, promotion, financial breakthrough, ministry expansion, or the fulfillment of a prophetic promise. Do not allow the length of your waiting to weaken your faith. The God who remembered the man at Bethesda has not forgotten you. One divine visitation can terminate years of delay and usher you into your season of fulfillment. Today, place your confidence in God rather than in circumstances. Continue to trust Him, remain faithful, and expect His timely intervention. When divine help arrives, every prolonged delay gives way to undeniable testimony.

Father, I thank You because You are my ever-present Help in times of need.
Father, Let every force prolonging my expectations be broken today.
Father, Send me timely divine help that will terminate every delay concerning my life, family, ministry, career, and destiny.
Father, Let every promise You have spoken over my life come to pass without further hindrance.
Father, Connect me with the right people, open every closed door, and accelerate my testimony.
Father, Before this season ends, let my long-awaited expectations become visible realities, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
