THEME: DON'T IGNORE GOD!
TEXT: [NLT] GALATIANS 6:7
"Don't be misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow!"
Every human being carries the potential to fulfil God's purpose, but that potential must be deliberately surrendered to God and expressed through obedience. God does not save us merely to give us a better life; He saves us so that our lives can become instruments through which His purpose is fulfilled. When a person comes into union with Christ, a new identity is established. Such a person is now identified with Christ and called to live according to God's purpose. Scripture says that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). Therefore, discovering that God has called you is not the end of the journey; responding to that call is essential. God has a purpose for your life, and He expects your decisions, priorities, gifts, resources, relationships, and opportunities to be brought into alignment with that purpose.
This is why Paul warns us in Galatians 6:7, “You can't ignore God and get away with it.” Ignoring God is more than openly rejecting Him. Sometimes, a person ignores God by consistently choosing his own way while knowing what God requires. It can happen when we hear God's instruction but refuse to obey it, recognize His purpose but deliberately pursue another direction, or receive opportunities to serve Him but continually postpone our response. We must understand that God cannot be mocked. The principle of sowing and reaping operates in every area of life. Whatever a person continually sows, he will eventually reap. If you sow obedience, you position yourself to experience the fruit of obedience. If you sow rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, or disregard for God's instructions, those seeds also produce consequences. The fact that consequences may not appear immediately does not mean that God has ignored what we are doing.
Perhaps God has been calling you to take a particular step, change a particular habit, forgive someone, serve Him more faithfully, use your gifts for His glory, or surrender an area of your life to Him. Do not continually postpone your response. Delayed obedience is still disobedience when God has made His instruction clear. The purpose of your life is too important to be sacrificed on the altar of convenience. You were not created merely to exist, accumulate possessions, pursue recognition, or satisfy personal desires. You were created by God and, in Christ, called to live for His glory and purpose. Jesus demonstrated this perfectly. His life was governed by the Father's will. He could say, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work” (John 4:34 NLT). That should also become our pursuit: to know God's will, obey His Word, and faithfully complete the assignment He has entrusted to us. Do not ignore God. Do not ignore His Word. Do not ignore His correction. Do not ignore His promptings. Do not ignore the purpose for which He has called you because your response to God today is sowing into your tomorrow.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for creating me for Your purpose and calling me into fellowship with Christ.
Father, Forgive me for every time I have ignored Your Word, resisted Your instruction, or knowingly chosen my own way.
Father, Give me a heart that is sensitive to Your voice and willing to obey You.
Father, Help me to recognize the purpose You have ordained for my life and give me the courage, discipline, and grace to fulfil it.
Father, Let my decisions, gifts, opportunities, relationships, resources, and actions bring glory to Your name.
Father, help me to sow seeds that will produce a harvest that honours You. May my life become a faithful expression of Your purpose on the earth.SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD, 2026.
