DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD!
TEXT: [NKJV] DANIEL 11:32
"Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits."
In a world filled with shifting moral landscapes, compromises, and the subtle allure of worldly flattery, the temptation to stray from God's path can be overwhelming. Daniel 11:32 paints a vivid picture of two contrasting groups of people in times of intense pressure: those who compromise their faith and yield to corruption, and those who remain unshakeable because of their deep, intimate relationship with the Almighty.
To "know" God in this context goes far beyond merely knowing about Him or acknowledging His existence from a distance. The Hebrew word for "know" (Yada) implies a deep, experiential, and intimate relationship; it is the one forged in prayer, seasoned through obedience, and tested in the crucible of daily life. It is the kind of knowledge that comes from walking closely with Him, listening to His voice, and trusting His character even when the surrounding culture bows to pressure or deceit.
Notice the double promise given to those who possess this intimate knowledge of God: "They Shall Be Strong": True spiritual strength is not derived from human talent, financial stability, or social influence. It comes from an anchored soul. When the storms of life or societal pressures rage, those who know God draw from an inexhaustible well of divine resilience. They do not easily break, because their roots run deep in the bedrock of His grace. "They Shall Carry Out Great Exploits": Intimacy with God always translates into impactful action. When you truly know the power, majesty, and love of your Creator, fear loses its grip. You begin to see impossibilities through the lens of His omnipotence. Believers who truly know God do not live passive lives; empowered by His Spirit, they accomplish extraordinary feats for His glory, shifting atmospheres, influencing systems, and bringing light into dark places. As you step into this week, examine the depth of your walk with God. Are you relying on fleeting earthly flatteries and trends, or are you anchored in a profound, living relationship with Him? Choose to seek Him earnestly today. Let His presence fortify your spirit so that you can stand strong against compromise and step boldly into the great exploits He has prepared for you.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for calling me into a deep and personal relationship with Yourself.
Father, Forgive me for the times I have relied on my own strength or sought validation from the world.
Father, Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, grant me unshakeable spiritual strength, and use my life to accomplish great exploits for Your kingdom. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
