DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: DIVINE WISDOM IS A NECESSITY!
TEXT: [NLT] ECCLESIASTES 7:12
"Wisdom or money can get you almost anything, but it's important to know that only wisdom can save your life."
There are many things in life that money can provide, but there are some things money can never guarantee. Money can give you access, comfort, influence, opportunities, and even solutions to certain problems. However, money without wisdom can become a tool for destruction. This is why wisdom is not merely an advantage; wisdom is a necessity. Solomon makes an important distinction in today's scripture. He acknowledges the power of money, but he places wisdom in a higher category because wisdom can preserve life. Money can help you acquire things, but wisdom teaches you how to handle what you acquire. Money can open a door, but wisdom teaches you which door to enter. Money can give you options, but wisdom helps you choose correctly.
Many people are praying for resources when what they truly need is wisdom. Sometimes, the greatest miracle is not God giving you more money; it is God giving you the wisdom to properly manage what you already have. You may have an opportunity, but without wisdom, you can waste it. You may have a relationship, but without wisdom, you can destroy it. You may have influence, but without wisdom, you can misuse it. You may have wealth, but without wisdom, you can lose it. Wisdom is what helps you make decisions today that will protect your tomorrow. Divine wisdom becomes especially important because human knowledge is limited. There are situations where experience is not enough, education is not enough, connections are not enough, and financial capacity is not enough. You need God's perspective.
James 1:5 says, "If you need wisdom, which means if you want to know what God wants you to do, you have to ask him, and he will gladly tell you." God does not want you to navigate life blindly. He is willing to guide you. Therefore, don't only pray, "Lord, bless me." Also pray, "Lord, give me wisdom to handle the blessing." Don't only ask God for an opportunity; ask Him for the wisdom to recognize and maximize it. Don't only ask for an increase; also ask for the wisdom to manage the increase. Don't only ask for victory; ask for the wisdom to preserve the victory. Today, make wisdom a priority. Seek God's counsel before making major decisions. Study His Word. Listen to godly instruction. Be humble enough to learn. And when you don't know what to do, ask God. You don't just need God's blessings; you need God's wisdom to steward them.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for the gift of wisdom. I ask that You fill me with divine wisdom and understanding.
Father, Help me to make decisions that align with Your will.
