THEME: WHAT YOU NEED TO ABIDE IN SATISFACTION!
TEXT: [NKJV] PROVERBS 19:23
"The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil."

There is a kind of satisfaction that money cannot purchase, achievements cannot guarantee, and possessions cannot permanently provide. It is the deep sense of contentment, security, peace, and fulfilment that comes from walking in the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 19:23 reveals a powerful pathway to this kind of life: “The fear of the LORD leads to life.” The fear of God is not a terror that makes us run away from Him; it is a reverential honour that makes us desire to walk with Him, obey His Word, and live according to His will. When you truly fear God, your priorities begin to change. You stop living merely to impress people and begin living to please God. You become more conscious of His presence and more intentional about your choices.

The fear of the Lord gives you wisdom to avoid paths that may appear attractive but ultimately lead to destruction. The Bible says that the person who has the fear of the Lord “will abide in satisfaction.” Notice the word “abide.” It speaks of remaining, dwelling, continuing, and staying. God does not merely want to give you occasional moments of satisfaction; He wants you to develop a life that is continually rooted in Him. True satisfaction is not the absence of challenges. It is having God as your confidence in the midst of challenges. You may not have everything you desire at every moment, but when your heart is anchored in God, you can experience contentment because you know that your life is in His hands.

The fear of the Lord also protects you from many destructive decisions. Reverence for God will restrain you from compromising your values for temporary benefits. It will help you say “no” when saying yes would take you away from God's purpose for your life. When God becomes your source, what you have will no longer determine the condition of your heart. You will learn to appreciate His blessings without allowing them to replace Him. Today, make the fear of the Lord your lifestyle. Let your decisions reflect your reverence for Him. Let His Word guide your steps. Let His presence become your greatest treasure. The secret to abiding in satisfaction is not having everything; it is having God at the centre of everything.

PRAYER POINTS:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of life and for the privilege of knowing You.
Father, Help me to walk in the fear of the Lord and to honour You in every area of my life.
Father, Give me wisdom to make choices that please You and keep me away from every path that leads to destruction.
Lord, Let my satisfaction come from You. Teach me to be content with Your provision while trusting You for everything that concerns my life.
Father, Let Your presence fill my heart with peace, joy, and fulfilment. May I never allow material things, circumstances, or human approval to become my ultimate source of satisfaction.
