DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: THE LORD IS THE LIFTER OF YOUR HEAD!
TEXT: [NKJV] PSALM 3:3
"But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head."
When it comes to the lifting up of the head, there is no one more qualified, more powerful, or more authorized to do it than God. The Lord is the ultimate Lifter of the heads of men. He is the One who takes a person from a place of obscurity into prominence, from humiliation into honor, from rejection into acceptance, from limitation into enlargement, and from stagnation into advancement. David understood this truth when he declared, “But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” He recognized that his security, dignity, honor, and elevation were not products of human strength but the direct intervention of God.
A lifted head is a picture of restored dignity, renewed confidence, divine acceptance, promotion, victory, and advancement. When someone's head is down, it may represent discouragement, shame, defeat, rejection, disappointment, or prolonged adversity. But when God lifts that person's head, He changes the story and gives that individual a reason to look up again. There are seasons when life can make a person feel forgotten, overlooked, rejected, or defeated.
You may have experienced situations that have caused you to bow your head in shame or discouragement. Perhaps doors have been closed repeatedly, opportunities have passed you by, or people you expected to help you have disappointed you. But your present condition is not the final conclusion of your life. The Bible says in PSALM 75:6-7; "For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another." This means that no human being possesses the final authority over your destiny. A person may say no, but God can say yes. Someone may reject you, but God can accept you. A door may be shut by men, but God can open another that no one can shut. Therefore, never make the mistake of concluding that your future depends entirely on the approval of people. Your ultimate lifting comes from the Lord.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You because You are my shield, my glory, and the Lifter of my head. I surrender every area of my life to You.
Lord, lift my head above every shame, reproach, disappointment, rejection, limitation, stagnation, and adversity. Restore everything that has been damaged in my life and bring me into the place You have ordained for me.
Let Your favor speak for me where my voice cannot speak. Let divine connections locate me. Let doors of opportunity open before me. Cause me to experience supernatural promotion, advancement, honor, and enlargement.
