THEME: DON'T ASSUME THAT YOU KNOW IT ALL!
TEXT: [MSB] PROVERBS 3:7
"Don't assume that you know it all. Run to GOD! Run from evil!"

There’s a dangerous place we can get to in life: thinking we know it all. Knowledge is valuable, experience matters, wisdom is helpful, and learning is important. But no matter how much you know, you’ll never know everything. There will always be things you don’t know, situations you can’t predict, battles you don’t understand, and parts of God’s ways that are beyond human understanding. That’s why God’s Word warns us not to become wise in our own eyes. When you assume you know it all, you start trusting your own understanding too much. You begin making decisions without asking God for direction, interpreting situations without seeking His perspective, and going through life as if human wisdom is enough for everything.

There are things your experience can’t teach you. There are doors your intelligence can’t open. There are battles your strength can’t win. There are dangers you can’t see. There are opportunities you may miss because you don’t recognize their importance. There are things your experience can’t teach you. There are doors your intelligence can’t open. There are battles your strength can’t win. There are dangers you can’t see. There are opportunities you may miss because you don’t recognize their importance but God knows what you don’t know. God sees what you can’t see. God understands what you can’t understand. God knows tomorrow before you get there. So, a wise person doesn’t just depend on what they know; they know when to depend on God.

There will be times when God’s instructions won’t immediately make sense to you. He may ask you to wait when you want to move. He may ask you to move when you want to stay. He may ask you to give when you think you should hold on. He may ask you to forgive when you feel justified in staying angry. He may ask you to take a path you would never have chosen on your own. At those moments, remember: You don’t have to understand everything before you obey God. Trusting God means recognizing that His wisdom is greater than yours. So instead of saying, "I know what to do," learn to say, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" That question can save you from many unnecessary mistakes.

PRAYER POINTS:
Father, deliver me from the pride of thinking I know it all. Give me a humble and teachable heart.
Father, Help me recognize the limits of my understanding and keep depending on Your wisdom.
Father, Whenever I’m confused, guide me. Whenever I’m uncertain, direct me. Whenever I’m tempted to rely completely on my own understanding, remind me to seek You.
Father, Give me the discernment to recognize what is right and the courage to run from what is evil.
Father, Keep me away from relationships, environments, decisions, and compromises that would pull me away from Your purpose for my life.
