THEME: NOTHING SHALL STOP YOU FROM FLOURISHING!
TEXT: [NKJV] ISAIAH 60:2
"For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you."
There is a powerful truth in today's scripture: the presence of darkness does not mean the absence of God's glory. In fact, while darkness covers the earth and deep darkness surrounds the people, God declares that something different will happen to His own: "But the LORD will arise over you." This means your flourishing is not determined by what is happening around you; it is determined by Who is arising over you. There may be economic darkness, financial uncertainty, opposition, disappointment, rejection, delay, hardship, or unfavorable circumstances around you, but none of these has the final authority over your destiny. When the glory of God rests upon a person, that person can flourish in places where others struggle to survive.
Isaiah 60:2 does not deny the existence of darkness. God said darkness shall cover the earth. However, the verse does not end with darkness. There is a divine "BUT" in the scripture: "But the LORD will arise over you..." That divine "BUT" changes everything. There may be darkness, but God will arise over you. There may be scarcity, but God will provide for you. There may be rejection, but God will favor you. There may be opposition, but God will defend you. There may be a delay, but God will bring you into your appointed season. There may be barrenness around you, but you will be fruitful. There may be dryness around you, but you will flourish. The darker the environment becomes, the more visible light becomes. Stars are not easily noticed in broad daylight, but when darkness comes, their brightness becomes obvious. In the same way, God can cause His glory upon your life to become increasingly evident even in difficult seasons.
You may be surrounded by circumstances that suggest you cannot succeed, but when God arises over you, limitations lose their authority. His glory can distinguish you, announce you, favor you, open doors for you, connect you with the right people, and cause your efforts to produce extraordinary results. Beloved, this is your season of flourishing. Refuse to surrender to fear because of what you see or hear around you. Don't speak darkness when God has spoken glory over you. Don't confess defeat when God has declared flourishing over your life. The darkness around you cannot extinguish the glory upon you. As long as the Lord arises over you and His glory is seen upon your life, nothing shall stop you from flourishing!
PRAYER POINTS:
Heavenly Father, I thank You because my life and future are in Your hands.
Father, Let every obstacle assigned to stop my flourishing be removed by Your power.
Father, Let Your glory distinguish me, and let my life become an evidence of Your goodness. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen!
