TEXT: [NKJV] PROVERBS 21:1
"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes."
There are moments in life when you need the favor of someone who has the authority, influence, resources, or opportunity to make a significant difference in your life. Sometimes, the person who holds the key to your next level may not even know you personally. You may have no connection with them, no access to them, and no natural reason why they should favor you. But there is something powerful you must understand: God does not need to give you access to everyone; He only needs to touch the heart of the right person.
Proverbs 21:1 reveals the sovereignty of God over the hearts of kings and people in positions of authority. The heart of a king, despite his position and power, is still in the hand of the Lord. Just as a farmer directs water into the channel where he wants it to flow, God can direct the decisions, intentions, affections, and actions of people according to His divine purpose. This means that when God determines to favor you, He can stir favor for you in places you never expected. Favor is not always about what you can do for people; sometimes, it is about what God can cause people to do for you.
There are doors you cannot open by your strength. There are conversations you cannot arrange by yourself. There are opportunities you cannot manufacture. There are people you cannot persuade. But when God goes ahead of you, He can influence the hearts of those connected to your destiny. Joseph experienced this kind of divine favor. He was a prisoner, yet God caused him to find favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison (Genesis 39:21). Esther also experienced divine orchestration when she obtained favor before King Ahasuerus, positioning her to become an instrument of deliverance for her people (Esther 2:17; 5:2). This is what divine favor can do: God can cause the right person to see you, remember you, recommend you, assist you, promote you, support you, or open a door for you. Be rest assured that the Lord is stirring favor for you.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You because the hearts of kings are in Your hands.
Father, I surrender my relationships, opportunities, future, ministry, career, and destiny to You. Stir favor for me wherever I need it.
Father, Cause the right people to remember me, recognize me, recommend me, support me, and connect with me according to Your purpose.
Father, Take me to the places You have ordained for me and connect me with the people You have assigned to my journey.
Father, Let Your favor distinguish me and let every connection You bring into my life serve Your purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
