DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: PROSPERING IN EVERY WAY!
TEXT: [AMP] 3 JOHN 2
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers."

God is interested in the total well-being of His children. His desire is not for us to flourish in one area of life while suffering unnecessarily in another. He desires that our lives experience wholesome progress and well-being according to His will. The prayer of the Apostle John in our text reveals an important dimension of God's desire for His people: “that you may prosper in every way.” This is a powerful expression because it points beyond material possessions or financial increase. Biblical prosperity encompasses the different dimensions of our lives which comprises our spiritual life, mental and emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, work, purpose, and material needs.

What happens in the soul has a significant influence on the quality of life we experience outwardly. A person may have material possessions and yet be poor in peace, joy, wisdom, purpose, or spiritual vitality. Conversely, a person may be going through a season of material limitation while possessing a prosperous soul that is rich in faith, hope, peace, love, and confidence in God. Therefore, prosperity should not be reduced to money. Money is a part of material provision, but it is not the totality of a prosperous life. God wants you to grow spiritually. God wants your mind to be sound and renewed. God wants you to walk in divine health and strength. God wants your relationships to be meaningful and fruitful. God wants your work and endeavors to produce good results. God wants you to have what is necessary to fulfill your God-given assignment. Above all, God wants your soul to flourish in Him.

This is why the prosperity of the soul is so important. When your soul prospers, you become better equipped to handle the blessings, opportunities, responsibilities, and resources that God brings your way. External increase without internal maturity can become a burden, but when the soul prospers, the person is better positioned to steward God's blessings wisely. You should therefore desire more than possessions; desire wholeness. Desire more than increase; desire capacity. Desire more than abundance; desire the wisdom to steward abundance. Desire more than outward success; desire a life that is genuinely pleasing to God. You are not called to merely exist; you are called to flourish. And as your soul prospers in God, may the evidence of His goodness become increasingly visible in every area of your life.

PRAYER POINTS:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You because You are interested in every dimension of my life.
Father, Let my soul continually prosper in You. Father, Strengthen my faith, renew my mind, establish my heart in Your Word, and help me to walk consistently in obedience to You.
Father, Let my body be strengthened and preserved. Let my work, endeavors, relationships, and responsibilities experience Your wisdom, favor, and divine help.
Father, Take me from every form of stagnation, limitation, and fruitlessness into greater levels of progress and fruitfulness.
Lord, let my prosperity never become a distraction from You. May every increase in my life draw me closer to You and make me a greater blessing to others.
