THEME: LET YOUR HEART REJOICE IN THE LORD!
TEXT: [NKJV] 1 SAMUEL 2:1
"And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation."

Hannah’s declaration in 1 Samuel 2:1 is remarkable because it came after a prolonged season of pain, disappointment, provocation, and barrenness. She had experienced the agony of not having a child, and she was continually provoked by Peninnah because of it. Yet, when God answered her prayer and gave her Samuel, Hannah did not merely celebrate the gift but also rejoiced in the Giver. She said, “My heart rejoices in the LORD.” This implies that our greatest reason for rejoicing should not merely be what God gives us, but God Himself. Hannah's joy was not ultimately centered on Samuel. Samuel was a blessing, but the Lord was the source of her joy. Her heart found its satisfaction in God.

It is easy to rejoice when everything is going according to plan. It is easy to praise God when prayers have been answered, doors have opened, and testimonies have come but spiritual maturity is demonstrated when your heart can still rejoice in the Lord even before you see the manifestation of everything you are trusting Him for. Rejoicing in the Lord is more than an emotional reaction to good news. It is a spiritual response to the goodness, faithfulness, salvation, and sovereignty of God. Your rejoicing is not necessarily a testimony that everything around you is perfect. It is a testimony that God is still worthy of your confidence. You may be passing through a difficult season, but you can rejoice because your salvation is secure in Christ.

Beloved, guard your joy. There will always be something the enemy can point to and say, “Look at this.” But faith looks beyond what is visible and says, “Look at my God!” Don't let disappointment silence your praise. Don't let delay destroy your confidence. Don't let opposition steal your joy. Don't let yesterday's pain determine today's posture. The Lord is still good. The Lord is still faithful. The Lord is still working. The Lord is still worthy of praise. Therefore, let your heart rejoice in the Lord!

PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You because You are the source of my joy, my strength, my hope, and my salvation. I receive grace to rejoice in You regardless of my circumstances.
Father, Help me to trust You in seasons of waiting and to praise You in seasons of abundance.
Father, Let my joy not be controlled by circumstances, people's opinions, or temporary challenges.
Father, As You did for Hannah, turn every season of sorrow into a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Father, Lift my head, strengthen my faith, and cause my heart to continually rejoice in You.
