TEXT: [NLT] PSALM 29:11
"The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace."
There are blessings we can easily recognize because they are visible. However, there are also blessings whose value cannot always be measured by what we possess. One of such priceless blessings is peace. The Bible declares that “The LORD blesses them with peace.” This means peace is not merely a favourable emotional state; it is a blessing that God Himself gives to His people. Peace becomes particularly precious when life presents situations that should naturally produce anxiety, fear, confusion, or restlessness. When everything around you seems uncertain, God can give you an inner assurance that circumstances cannot explain. Notice that Psalm 29:11 connects strength with peace: “The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace.” There are seasons when you need strength to face what is before you, and there are seasons when you need peace to remain stable while you wait for what God is doing. God provides both.
Sometimes, the greatest evidence of God’s blessing is not that He removes every difficult situation immediately, but that He gives you peace while you are still walking through it. God’s peace does not necessarily mean there will never be storms. Rather, it means the storm does not have to control the condition of your heart. You can face uncertainty without losing your confidence in God. You can wait without being consumed by anxiety. You can encounter opposition without allowing bitterness to take over your heart. There are battles that money cannot solve, possessions cannot solve, and human connections cannot solve. What the heart needs in such moments is the peace that comes from knowing that God is still in control.
Beloved, do not underestimate the blessing of peace. A peaceful heart is a wealthy heart. To sleep peacefully, think clearly, walk confidently, and remain anchored in God despite what is happening around you is a blessing indeed. Perhaps you are currently facing something that has been disturbing your heart. Take your eyes away from the magnitude of the situation and turn them toward the greatness of your God. The Lord who gives strength also gives peace. His peace can guard your heart when answers have not yet come. His peace can sustain you when the outcome is not yet visible. His peace can keep you from making decisions out of fear. His peace can remind you that you are not alone, and your situation is not beyond God's reach. His peace is a blessing. Therefore, receive it, walk in it, protect it and trust Him with everything that concerns you.
PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for being the source of my strength and peace. I receive Your peace into every area of my life.
Father, Where there is anxiety, give me calmness. Where there is confusion, give me clarity. Where there is fear, strengthen my heart with confidence in You.
Father, Help me to trust You even when I cannot see the outcome.
Father, Let Your peace rule in my heart and preserve me through every circumstance. In Jesus' name, Amen.
