THEME: YOUR WORDS, YOUR FATE!
TEXT: [MSB] MATTHEW 12:37
"Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation."

Jesus made it clear that our words matter before God. In Matthew 12:37, He teaches that our words can either testify for us or testify against us. This shows that what we repeatedly speak should never be treated casually. Your words can become a reflection of your faith. When you continually speak words that agree with God's promises, you strengthen your heart to trust Him. When you speak words of hope in the midst of adversity, you remind yourself that your present situation is not the final authority over your future. When you declare God's faithfulness despite what you see, you are choosing to let your faith speak louder than your circumstances. The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). This does not mean that every sentence we utter automatically creates a supernatural reality. Rather, Scripture emphasizes that our speech carries consequences.

Our words can build or destroy, encourage or discourage, express faith or expose unbelief, restore relationships or damage them. This is why we must learn to discipline our tongues. You cannot continually speak defeat and expect your heart to remain full of courage. You cannot constantly declare that nothing good will happen to you and expect such speech to have no effect on your outlook and conduct. Your words can shape your expectations, influence your decisions, affect your relationships, and reveal the condition of your heart. Jesus said, “For whatever is in your heart determines what you say” (Matthew 12:34 NLT). Therefore, the answer is not simply to change your vocabulary; it is to allow God to transform your heart.

When the heart is filled with God's Word, the mouth begins to speak words that are consistent with God's truth. Instead of saying, “I am finished,” remind yourself that God is still working. Instead of saying, “There is no way forward,” remember that God can make a way where there seems to be none. Instead of allowing fear to dictate your confession, let faith have a voice. Instead of magnifying the size of your problem, magnify the greatness of your God. Your words should not be governed by what circumstances are saying; they should be guided by what God has said. Beloved, be intentional about your words. Before you speak, ask yourself: Does this agree with God's truth? Does this build faith? Does this bring life? Does this glorify God? Your words may not control everything that happens around you, but they reveal what you believe, influence how you respond, and can shape the direction of your life.
Therefore, speak wisely. Speak life. Speak faith. Speak God's Word.

PRAYER POINTS:
Father, I thank You for reminding me of the power and responsibility of my words.
Father, Help me to discipline my tongue and make my speech pleasing to You.
Father, Let my words produce encouragement, faith, hope, wisdom, and life.
Father, Whenever fear, frustration, or circumstances try to control my confession, help me to remember what You have said.
Father, Fill my heart with Your Word so that my mouth will continually speak words that honour You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
